Welcome to our Crèche

Our crèche opening hours are 8am-6pm.

In Skerries crèche we provide high quality early years education and care for children from the age of 1 year old to preschool age. All our rooms are carefully designed to provide children with a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

We follow an emergent play-based curriculum in line with Aistear and guided by the principles of Siolta. We tailor activities based on your child's individual needs to help them develop to their full potential.

Creche activities

Nursery and Toddler Room

1 year - 2 years and 8 months

In Skerries crèche our nursery room is designed to be soft and gentle - with soft play area, cosy corners and lots of space to crawl, climb and wobble in safety! Our nursery caters for children up to the age of 2.

As your child grows, they thrive on new challenges and stimulating experiences. Our educators support their development by encouraging language skills through songs, storytelling and role play.

Toddlers build vocabulary and communication skills through interactive indoor and outdoor activities like arts and crafts, baking, music, and physical exercise. Our play-based curriculum fosters language development, social interaction, and great fun. We provide a safe sleep space for all children.

2 years 8 months - School age

Moving to Preschool is an exciting further step in your child's education journey. In Skerries crèche we support children's development through our curriculum, promoting learning through play which allows children to develop confidence and independence while nurturing their curiosity and establishing their identity as a learner.

 

 

We have the following areas in the room:

  • Sensory area to explore different sounds, tastes and materials through play.
  • Home corner allowing for socio dramatic play.
  • Reading and cosy corner to promote reading and build on literacy skills.
  • Construction area for children to engineer new creations.
  • Small world play to allow for lots of creative and social play.
  • Montessori areas.
